I have a couple of vases marked Roseville with numbers on the bottom. What can you tell me about them. I have been told they are good pieces.

Susie,
I started out buying Roseville to resell but just fell in love with it! Now I look for it everywhere I go. It was so funny, back in the summer we had a terric storm and a tree came down next to the the neighbors front porch and I & my husband walked over to investigate the damage because it is 2 old sisters that live there. What did I see but a beautiful Roseville jardinere sitting on their front porch full of dirt & flowers and just missed by inches from the tree limbs! I told them what they had and they promptly emptied it and took it in the house for safekeeping.

That is a really neat story! Roseville is very nice. I have purchased a few pieces in the past myself. I usually display them for a while and then sell them. Do you do repair work as well?

Jason,
Goodness no! I wouldn't even know where to begin on a repair. I keep my Roseville pieces that I just can't part with and do sell the others. I sold a small ewer in the bushberry pattern in green and regretted it ever since.

OK here is the numbers on one of the vases 135-9. It has some sort of lily on the front. It also has 2 handles and is about 9 inches tall or so. Let me know what you find out

Susie, By that number, it might be a Zephyr Lily vase. My Roseville book has that one listed as $200-$225. Would like to see a picture of it though to be sure. Lynn Mountain Home Store Vintage Collectibles & Antiques www.mountainhomestore.com
